  • Invention Convention
    May 11th, 2016

Some of our 4th and 5th grade students participated in the Invention Convention held at Gadsden Convention Hall. Their inventions were creative and very useful. The magnetic soled tennis shoe would be very useful picking up nails after a roofing job and the portable boot pocket is a neat place to store your phone. What if you have taken your baby on a stroll through the neighborhoold and he falls asleep. Just put the stroller on the Rockin Stroller Machine and he continues his nap. We definitely have some inventors on the horizon!

  • Serendipity Day 2016
    April 28th, 2016

Serendipity Day - a day to discover something new. Eura Brown students and faculty enjoyed the following performances: Gadsden City High School Show Choir, Ray Davis' TaekwonDo Academy, Jay Hedgspeth and his guitar, Mark Seymour's Drum Show, Etowah Youth Symphony, Downtown Dance Conservatory, and a presentation from Huntsville Gem and Rock Society. It was a day of learning fun. Thank you to PTA parent volunteer, Katie Holderfield for coordinating the day.

  • Gadsden City Board of Education Student Recognition Night
    April 12th, 2016

On the evening of April 4th the auditorium of Gadsden City High School was overflowing with students, parents, and community members. The event was the board's annual Student Recognition Program for all Gadsden City Schools. Each board member gives the certificate of achievement to the students in their district. Eura Brown's board member, Mr. Mike Haney, delights in rewarding the efforts that lead to accomplishments by our children.

  • Community Service
    March 18th, 2016

Eura Brown's National Elementary Honor Society is composed of 22 fifth grade students. One of the purposes of the organization is to give of themselves to others through community service. The group recently visited McGuffey's Healthcare Center and helped give a St. Patrick's Day Party for the residents. It warmed my heart to see how readily these students engaged with the residents. They played a St. Patrick's Day Trivia game with them and laughter and smiles were in abundance. Serving the residents green punch and cookies was a delight for the fifth graders. All I heard from the members on the way back to the school was how much they enjoyed it and what they learned from the residents. Mission accomplished!
