  • What an Honor!
    October 25th, 2016

At the end of September we received the news that Eura Brown Elementary had been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence title. It had been a long wait. We were nominated in January, submitted the application in March, and then the long wait. We had a celebration assembly where everyone received a blue ribbon for their contribution to the honor. I will be traveling to Arlington, Virginia in November to bring home the plaque and the flag. Congratulations Eura Brown Elementary!

  • We're Rolling!
    August 23rd, 2016

With two full weeks of school behind us, we are rolling into another wonderful year of learning fun. Parents, thank you for attending the grade level Parent Forums, joining the PTA, and volunteering. The faculty and staff are constantly reminded of our strong parent and community support as we embark on another year long academic journey with new students.

  • Let's Get Ready!
    July 18th, 2016

Wow! We'll be back together in just three weeks. I've been busy getting ready for your return since you left for summer vacation. Hopefully, many of you participated in the Summer Learning Challenge and have read some good books. I certainly have. The long days of summer are my favorite and I'm sure you are enjoying all the activities that go with the season.

  • Invention Convention
    May 11th, 2016

Some of our 4th and 5th grade students participated in the Invention Convention held at Gadsden Convention Hall. Their inventions were creative and very useful. The magnetic soled tennis shoe would be very useful picking up nails after a roofing job and the portable boot pocket is a neat place to store your phone. What if you have taken your baby on a stroll through the neighborhoold and he falls asleep. Just put the stroller on the Rockin Stroller Machine and he continues his nap. We definitely have some inventors on the horizon!

  • Serendipity Day 2016
    April 28th, 2016

Serendipity Day - a day to discover something new. Eura Brown students and faculty enjoyed the following performances: Gadsden City High School Show Choir, Ray Davis' TaekwonDo Academy, Jay Hedgspeth and his guitar, Mark Seymour's Drum Show, Etowah Youth Symphony, Downtown Dance Conservatory, and a presentation from Huntsville Gem and Rock Society. It was a day of learning fun. Thank you to PTA parent volunteer, Katie Holderfield for coordinating the day.
